Visit Owatonna is proud to announce it has been named “Most Engaging Community Tourism Hub 2026” through the Acquisition International Non-Profit Organization Awards. The international recognition honors organizations that demonstrate excellence in community impact, innovation, engagement, and leadership within their industry.
The award recognizes Visit Owatonna’s continued efforts to strengthen tourism through community collaboration, visitor engagement, destination marketing, and the promotion of local experiences that make Owatonna a welcoming and vibrant destination for travelers year-round.

Winners are selected through a merit-based evaluation process that considers community engagement, innovation, business growth, online reputation, and demonstrated positive impact. Visit Owatonna continues to build momentum through strategic partnerships, major events, expanded visitor experiences, downtown revitalization efforts, arts and history programming, and increased hospitality investment throughout the community.
The organization’s mission remains focused on promoting Owatonna as a destination where visitors can experience authentic local charm, recreation, history, shopping, dining, and regional events.
