mainstreet holiday lighted parade
The MainStreet Holiday Lighted Parade has typically been held the week after Thanksgiving and has become an annual tradition in Downtown Owatonna.
In 2023, the parade will be Friday, December 1, at 6:00pm. Please note the change to Friday.
In 2022, the parade was held on December 1. We had a record number of participants (90) and spectators (over 2500) as the weather was fairly nice (until the wind picked up). The parade started at 6:00 pm running from the Front Street starting point (Front St and Cedar Ave) and proceeded south on Cedar Avenue to Central Park.
Once the parade was completed, the crowd gathered in Central Park for the lighting of the lights, the trophy presentation for the best float, and the OHS carolers first performance of 2022.
Above & Beyond Abilities was the winner of the trophy; however, there were many amazing entries in the parade. The businesses really out-do themselves each year and the crowd absolutely loves it!
