    Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism will be supportive and help get information to our member businesses about how to best be prepared and proactive in regards to Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Due to the fluidity of the situation, we will provide the best on-going and helpful information that is relevant to ensure we are serving you during this challenging situation.

    NEW – Main Street Covid Relief Grants $10,000-$25,000 Opens Sept. 20, 2021 APPLY HERE

    NEW – President Biden’s executive order that will create new mandates for employers with 100 or more employees or who are federal contractors.  President Binden’s COVID-19 Action Plan

    NEW – Steele County COVID-19 Business Resources for vaccination and testing

    • County received a total of $5,287,695 in grant requests
    • 164 Applications were submitted from Steele Co. businesses
      • 104 Applications were accepted

    Old Town Bagels and RE/MAX Venture giving away 130 box lunches to Nurses, Doctors, Fireman, Ambulance EMT, Deputy Sheriff, and Police. Call or stop in to place order and get box lunch.

    Local Health information

    Interested in getting signed up for the COVID-19 Vaccine?

    Vaccine eligibility will be expanded to new groups as of Wednesday, March 10, 2021.  The second phase includes:

    People 45+ with one or more underlying health conditions identified by the CDC 

    People 16+ with two or more underlying health conditions 

    People with rare conditions or disabilities that put them at higher risk of severe illness 

    People 50+ in multi-generational housing  

    Essential frontline workers: Agricultural, airport staff, additional child care workers not previously eligible, correctional settings, first responders, food production, food retail, food service, judicial system workers, manufacturing, public health workers, public transit, U.S. Postal Service workers. 

    Launch the COVID-19 Vaccine Conector which will help you find out when, where and how to get your COVID-19 vaccine.

    • This is the next step of the state’s vaccination strategy to meet Minnesotans where they are and connect them to vaccine opportunities, no matter where they live or their personal circumstances.

    • COVID-19 testing is NOT available in Mayo Clinic Health System Emergency Departments or clinics
      Patients must call the nurse triage line to be assessed and directed to a drive-through testing center. Call one of the numbers below to see if you meet testing criteria.
