Federated Insurance Donates $400,000 Through the Annual United Way Campaign

“Our campaign this year centered around the idea of “Engaging People, Connecting Communities,” said Peng Olson, community relations manager at Federated Insurance. “We are consistently amazed by the dedication and participation from Federated® employees. The enthusiasm and passion they bring each year, coupled with more people and new faces showing up to help support our communities, is great to see. Federated is definitely an important piece of the puzzle.”

On top of employee pledges, Federated Insurance made a $107,000 corporate donation for a total of $400,000 to be distributed to United Way agencies across the country.

The annual United Way campaign stretches nationwide, with Federated’s Home Office and service offices participating in fundraising events planned by volunteer coordinators. This group of generous individuals assist with educating co-workers, raising awareness for United Way programs, and coordinating the distribution and collection of donor forms.

“Our employee’s willingness to volunteer their skills and creativity helps reignite that spark that brings people together for this great cause year after year,” said Jeff Fetters, chairman of Federated Insurance. “As new generations step in to participate, we can see the full extent of how we are at our best when we work together. I am so proud of Federated’s dedication as we continue to show how deeply we care for the friends, family, and neighbors in our communities.

Approximately $347,000 will stay locally in Steele County to help fund critical programs.
