With over 80 years of general contracting, construction management, and design-building experience, Benike Construction provides commercial construction services in Southeastern MN. They are a fourth-generation builder serving their customers, supporting communities, and sustaining families through quality construction. Benike focuses on building it right and building safely. Some of their previous notable projects include the Federated Insurance: A.T. Annexstad Building Adaptive Reuse, Foremost Brewing Cooperative, Kasson-Mantorville High School, and Jaguar Communications. Whether the project is large or small, new construction or a historic renovation, they promise to provide peace of mind throughout the building process.
Benike Construction was started when Alvin Benike, a former building inspector for the City of Rochester, realized during his inspections that he would be able to produce higher quality building construction than what he observed in the field. In 1937, he began his contracting business as a one-man shop. Four generations later, his contracting business has grown into a leading regional contractor with over 150 skilled employees. Although construction technology and methods have changed over the years, the philosophy behind the company remains the same and continues to guide it today: Integrity.
(Benike Construction Team)
The team at Benike Construction has remained busy with construction projects during COVID-19. One major project they worked on in Owatonna was the construction of the new Minimizer building. To ensure the safety of their employees, Benike Construction has adopted mask wearing and social distancing protocols. Construction workers are not allowed to share tools and are required to disinfect common workspaces throughout the workday. Before entering the worksite, employees of Benike Construction are required to do a temperature and symptom screening. While this proves to be a slight inconvenience, Benike Construction remains committed to following guidelines these guidelines and preventing the spread of COVID-19 to communities in southeastern Minnesota.
