Main Street Owatonna invites local businesses to get involved! To help promote this year’s event, we’ve provided a set of digital assets that you can use to spread the word and encourage customers to Shop Small® with you this season.
We’ll be out and about on Shop Small Saturday, giving away Chamber Bucks and free items to shoppers, stopping in at participating businesses, and hosting Facebook Live videos to showcase the festivities throughout the district. If you’d like to be featured, are hosting a special event, or want to schedule a visit that day, please reach out to Lisa Cochran at lcochran@owatonna.org.
See you downtown for a day of shopping, fun, and community spirit!

Downtowns reflect the economic health, quality of life, local history, and local pride. Downtowns are a key element in industrial, commercial and professional recruitment. A vibrant downtown Owatonna is for everyone and transfers to the entire community.
In 2019, 10 properties were awarded an EDA forgivable loan for renovations on their buildings through a partnership with City of Owatonna Economic Development Authority, Owatonna Area Business Development Center, and Main Street. The program has been well-received and utilized. The funds are available for 2024 on a “first come, first served” basis.
